Description of Program

The SUCCESS STEP Self Employment Program (SEP) is an business development program for residents of the Fraser Valley from Cloverdale to Hope.

Our award winning program offers extensive one on one business coaching, market research development assistance, and step by step business plan development covering all aspects of starting and growing a successful business. Our highly experienced team has assisted hundreds of businesses achieve long term growth and stability.

We Offer:

• Guided Market Research
• Program Application Assistance
• One on One business coaching/mentoring and business networking within the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver
• Bookkeeping training and one on one financial management counselling
• Logo and marketing materials development
• Comprehensive business plan workshops and coaching
• Ongoing support and monthly business development workshops during your first year of business and beyond
• Services in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Korean and Cantonese. Many other languages accommodated.

Funded by the Ministry  of Social Development,  Employment & Labour Market Services, our clients receive ongoing financial support of up to 48 weeks so they can earn while they learn.

Program Structure:

We have continuous weekly intake of clients and schedule our training around very small groups. This ensures that each client gets exactly what they need to develop their entrepreneurial skills. Funding lasts for up to 48 weeks  to cover your basic living expenses so that you can concentrate on developing a solid business foundation.

Who May Apply:

1. Residents of the Fraser Valley from Cloverdale to Hope who have EI eligibility:
   1. Current EI claim
   2. On EI in the last 3 years and working less than 20 hours a week
   3. Have been on a maternity or parental leave benefits within the last 5 years

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Other conditions apply – please come to an information session to get details specific to your personal situation
• Must be referred to the program by a Case Manager

Our Target Clients:

• Those of Aboriginal heritage – status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit.
• Immigrants to Canada from anywhere in the world who have been here less than 10-15 years.
