About Us
Beyourownboss.org is a portal provided by the BC Urban Entrepreneur Development Association (BCUEDA), and is designed to assist new entrepreneurs by providing resources and direction as they pursue the challenge of being their own boss.
The BCUEDA is a non-profit business organization comprised of the nine federally funded Self-Employment Programs in the Greater Vancouver area. Our members include:

- Langara College (EASE)
- North Shore
- SEEDS
- SUCCESS
- Toward Excellence
- Westcoast Community Enterprise
- YMCA
Each year in the greater Vancouver area, our members facilitate the start-up of more than 600 businesses through the intensive forty-eight week Self-Employment Program, and assist another 500 businesses through our support, assessment workshops and one-on-one counseling.
The BCUEDA network exceeds 5,000 businesses, employs 13,000 British Columbians, and contributes more than $300 million to the local economy. Over the years, BCUEDA has mentored and trained some of the province's most important business leaders.
